2023 Schedule

Tilden Little Farm Saturday, April 29	The maypole! We’ll be dancing a set and then setting up the maypole for the wee ones to dance around at the Little Farm in Tilden. 11:00-12:00
May Day Monday, May 1	Join us at Inspiration Point as we dance up the sun in traditional Morris fashion. We start at 5:30 AM, so bring your coffee.
Angel Island Saturday, May 6	A Nautical Adventure, as we sail across the San Francisco Bay from Sausalito to do some dancing on Angel Island. Check in later for more details.
Mother’s Day at Ardenwood Sunday, May 14	Join us and other local Morris teams “under the greenwood tree” for a pleasingly rustic Mothers’ Day at Ardenwood Historic Farm. More details to follow soon!
Peninsula Tour Sunday, May 21	San Mateo? Redwood City? Only the future will tell!
SF Embarcadero Tour Saturday, June 10	Various spots along the San Francisco Embarcadero. Check in later for details.
Solstice Wednesday, June 21	From 7:30 PM until dark, Berkeley Morris will be dancing the sun down at Sutro Heights with Deer Creek Morris and Goat Hill Morris.
Solano Stroll Sunday, Sept. 10	We will, with 80% certainty, be performing at the Solano Stroll this year. Details forthcoming.

Video Performances

While we’re all sheltering in place and unable to dance together, we’ve been taking it as an opportunity to create some amazing video productions.

Princess Royal

At dawn on May morning, 2020, we were all dancing the sun up from our own separate locations, and our in-house video master used that footage to produce an astounding mash-up of The Princess Royal.

Banks of the Zee

For the 2020 Midwest Ale, a virtual event attended only over the internet, we created this live performance of Banks of the Zee and are declaring the birth of the new Morris dance tradition of “Zoomington”!

May Day!

Lucy will NOT be at Inspiration Point this May 1. She has instructed Berkeley Morris to NOT go there, and in the interest of everyone’s safety, she wants all Mayday celebrants to STAY AWAY. There is NO Mayday celebration at Inspiration Point in Tilden Park this year – please do NOT come out. However, the individual members of Berkeley Morris will be dutifully dancing up the sun, as individuals in their own homes and backyards and thanks to the miracle of the Internet, we can all share the moment: Join our YouTube live stream at 6:00 am on Friday to help us keep the wheel of the seasons turning! Solano Stroll

We were pleased to once again be part of the Solano Stroll, the signature street fair of Albany and North Berkeley.
We performed three sets near the intersection of Solano and Carmel, near Gordo’s Taqueria.
